Privacy
What this site stores, and why.
Upvotes
Your first upvote sets a random browser ID in a first-party cookie that lasts one year, so you can vote once per plugin and undo it. With each vote we also store a salted hash of your IP address to limit abuse, for as long as the vote stands. We don’t store the address itself, but someone with access to the database could work it out from the hash, so treat it as pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
Reviews and submissions
We store what you send: display name, rating and review text, or plugin name, repository, description, category and screenshot. Reviews appear only after moderation. Submissions and their screenshots stay private unless a plugin is listed.
Rate limits
To stop spam, the server counts requests per IP address in memory. The count resets within an hour and when the server restarts.
Third parties
Some screenshots load directly from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com), which receives your IP address when your browser requests them. GitHub and npm statistics are fetched by our server, not your browser. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking script.
Removal
To remove a review, submission or vote, contact the maintainer on GitHub (opens in a new tab).
